visitor profiles
expatriates are the biggest and most important cluster within regular schanghai.com visitors. this group consists of high-income professionals and decision makers from germany, austria and switzerland, living and working in china for 1-3 years or longer. although key inquiries focus on the area of daily livelihood, popular business-related topics too are regularly raised within the portal's moderated discussion forums.
the second cluster entails trainees and students who usually stay in china for an internship of 3-12 months. this group proved to be mostly interested in travel, leisure and educational (language learning) information.
